All in Peace

Worrying Like It's 1999

The people of God, like the rest of humanity, struggle with this fear of the future syndrome; thus, God provides sound wisdom for keeping things in perspective. While future planning is never condemned, the biblical concept of preparedness is in meeting the needs of the day.

Peace of God

Death and suffering loomed over mankind… until the Son of God came to be sacrificed and resurrected. Because of His death, mankind’s sins and failures can be pardoned, and through His resurrection, mankind can have eternal life.

How to Have a Satisfying Life

What is the secret of a satisfying life? Paul gives three answers in Philippians 4:10-13 – “But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Gather Around Me, Children

In Psalm 34:11, David says, “Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.” In the previous verses, he has been encouraging the readers but now turns to instruction. He has pointed out how he has experienced many good things from God and now explains that it is necessary to fear Him to receive these things.

A Future for the Man of Peace

Psalm 37 is a beautiful poem of encouragement for God’s faithful. Throughout the poem, David provides gems of wisdom to keep one’s life fine-tuned to godliness. However, the psalm’s main theme exhorts the faithful never to fall prey to envying the wicked.

Carried by Angels

Even Christians are sometimes anxious about death as the unknown can cause apprehension. However, we can be reassured when we realize that the angels of God will be present when we die to carry us to Abraham’s bosom.
