“All the days of the afflicted are bad, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast” (Prov 15:15).
Nothing erases unpleasant thoughts more effectively than concentration on pleasant ones (Hans Selye). The Bible teaches more than mere “postiive thinking,” rather “positive believing” is centered on the greatness and glory of God (Phil 4:8-9)!
“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” (Prov 17:22).
