Greg has worked as an evangelist for our church since 2010 and began in a full time capacity in 2013. Before this, he preached primarily for rural churches located in North Alabama. He also spent one year in evangelistic efforts in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Besides preaching, Greg has also been a teacher in private education, teaching both Bible and social science courses for over two decades. He and his wife Pam are both natives of Athens, Alabama, and have three sons named Adam, Ethan, and Isaiah. They consider themselves very blessed to be able to work with such a spiritual and vibrant congregation.
Carl works on a half-time basis for the church, which involves some preaching, teaching Bible classes, prison evangelism, and supervising our Preacher-In -Training Program. Carl is a native of Woodbury, Tennessee. He attended Florida College, Freed Hardeman University, and is a graduate of David Lipscomb University, Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, and Auburn University. He has preached for the past 54 years, primarily in Limestone County, Alabama, with 40 Summers spent in evangelistic work in Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. He taught 17 years at Calhoun Community College, and 12 Years at Athens State University, where he served 8 years as Academic Dean. He retired from teaching in 1996, and has since spent full time in preaching. Carl and his wife Carolyn have 2 daughters: Carla (Myron) Breeding and Connie (Russell) Bradford, two grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
